Fiberglass Laminate Repair
Repair options are based on the location, severity and depth of the damage. Some projects require gelcoat work only, while others may involve underlying fiberglass repair.
Our Repair Process
1. Damage Evaluation
We inspect the visible damage and determine whether the repair involves gelcoat only or underlying fiberglass.
2. Preparation & Repair
The damaged area is opened, prepared, reinforced if necessary, and carefully faired.
3. Color Matching & Gelcoat Application
Gelcoat is matched to the surrounding finish and applied using professional repair methods.
4. Sanding, Polishing & Final Inspection
The repaired area is leveled, polished, and inspected for the best practical finish.
Repair Expectations
Every repair is approached with the goal of achieving the best practical color and finish match possible. Results can vary based on the age, condition, fading / oxidation and previous repairs to the surrounding gelcoat. Any hidden fiberglass damage discovered after work begins will be documented and discussed before the repair scope is expanded.
